Ways to Help

Simply getting involved with the site and using data sets is a tremendous help to us, but there is much more you can do to advance the cause of public data.

• Help us fill out our documentation wiki. Each data source has a documentation section that's filled out with a template. When you use data from the source please take a few moments to fill out any information about the data you discover so other users can share in your expertise.
• Suggest new data sources. We're really just getting started building a catalog of data sources. If you know of a public data source we're not listing let us know at mixmaster@dataremix.org
• If you're a programmer join our developers group http://groups.google.com/group/dataremix and learn more about how you can help us write public data access tools.

Our Community

We at Data Remix consider any contribution you wish to make whether it's code, bug reports, suggestions, or contributions to our data set documentation to be a valuable gift. We strongly encourage participation regardless of race, gender, sexuality, gender identiy, experience level, political affiliation, strong bias for or against serif fonts on the web, whatever! If you care about our core goal, lowering the barrier of entry to public data, we want your help and value your contribution. Period. If you want to help out let us know and we will find something valuable for you to do. That's a promise.
